The short version
We do not train models on your scripts, references, frames or cuts. We do not sell or share your material. You can export everything and delete your account, and deletion means deletion.
What we collect
Three categories, and nothing beyond them.
- Account data. Name, work email, organisation, role and billing details. Billing is handled by our payment processor; we never receive full card numbers.
- Production data. The scripts, reference images, look bibles, shot lists, frames, clips and audio you create or upload. This is your material and it is treated as confidential.
- Operational data. Render logs, error reports, and coarse usage counts — which stages ran, how long they took, what failed. We use these to keep the service working and to bill accurately.
What we do not do
- We do not use your production data to train, fine-tune or evaluate any model.
- We do not sell, rent or license your data to anyone.
- We do not run advertising or third-party trackers on the application.
- We do not read your scripts except where you explicitly ask a named support engineer to look at a specific project.
Processors
Rendering runs on infrastructure we operate and on model providers we contract with. Every provider is bound by a written agreement that forbids training on, retaining beyond the request, or disclosing your material. The current list of subprocessors is available on request and is provided as an annex to any Studio agreement.
Retention
- Production data is kept for as long as the project exists, and for 30 days after you delete it so that an accidental deletion can be reversed.
- Render logs are kept for 90 days.
- Billing records are kept for seven years because tax law requires it.
- On account closure, everything except billing records is deleted within 30 days.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you also have the right to restrict or object to processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office. Write to studio@mise.film and we will respond inside 30 days.
Transfers
Our primary infrastructure is in the United Kingdom and the European Union. Where a render is routed to a provider outside that area, the transfer is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK Addendum. Studio-tier deployments can be pinned to a single region.
Cookies
The marketing site sets no cookies at all. The application sets one session cookie so that you stay signed in, and stores your interface preferences locally in your browser. There is no analytics cookie and no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Security
Material is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access by our staff is role-limited, logged, and available to you as an audit trail on the Studio tier. We disclose any breach affecting your data to you within 72 hours of confirming it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. Superseded versions stay available on request.
